UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres arrived in Islamabad on a historic visit to Pakistan, where he was welcomed by Permanent Representative of the United Nations Munir Akram and Director General of the United Nations Farrukh Iqbal.
On arriving in Pakistan, Secretary-General Antonio Gutres said that Pakistan is a reliable and permanent partner of the United Nations in peace efforts worldwide.

According to UN Secretary-General Stephen Dojerik, Antonio Guterres will meet Prime Minister Imran Khan, President Malik Arif Alawi, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi and other leaders during the visit.
The spokesman said that the Secretary General will also address the International Afghan Refugees Conference in Islamabad, which aims to highlight Pakistan's 40-year hosting of Afghan refugees in Pakistan and to highlight Pakistan's efforts for Afghan peace.
In addition, the UN Secretary General will inaugurate a photo exhibition in Islamabad tomorrow, depicting a 60-year journey with the United Nations in Pakistan.
The spokesman said that the UN Secretary-General would visit Lahore on February 18, where he would meet interfaith leaders, visit the Raji Masjid and the royal fort. ۔
