KABUL: Taliban fighters raided an Afghan military base, killing 15 personnel and injuring 13.
According to the World News Agency, Taliban fighters attacked a military base in Kunduz province, Afghanistan. The Taliban did not face strong resistance during the night attacks.
A total of 15 personnel were killed in the attack, of which 14 were army personnel and one belonged to the police, as well as 8 soldiers, 2 federal police and 3 local police personnel.
The Taliban fighters also took away the Afghan army's weapons and 4 personnel after the attack. The Taliban spokesman claimed responsibility for the attack, but Afghan security forces have not denied or confirmed the attack.
More than 10 policemen were killed in an attack by Taliban fighters in Baghlan province yesterday. The attack was carried out at the province's police base, which also reported the death of the commander police.
It should be noted that since the fallout of peace talks, attacks by security fighters on security forces in Afghanistan have intensified, and the day before the US aircraft was also destroyed which the Taliban claimed to have killed.
